Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed the club have no plans to sign a new centre-forward for the remainder of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal continue to be linked with a new striker in the summer transfer window. However, Arteta has confirmed the Gunners have no plans to bring in another forward as they are happy with their current options. Including Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.
“I trust Kai Havertz, we trust Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard can play in that position.”
“We have players with different qualities in that position. And the best thing we can do is trust the players we have and try to improve them to perform better.”
“They have good skills and they have determination, Promotion Ufabet that’s what we’re focusing on,” Arteta said.
After Gabriel Jesus ’ impressive pre-season it was perhaps something of a surprise to see Havertz starting up top here. But it took just 25 minutes to prove why. Bukayo Saka crossed into the box for the 25-year-old to head home in a manner Andy Carroll would have been proud of.
“It was great the action,” Arteta said of the goal in his post-match press conference. “It was great delivery, the position we had in the box, the way he attacks the box. Superb. Great goal.”
Arsenal’s lack of clinical edge does remain a slight issue. By Arteta’s own admission, they should have been out of sight at half time, and Wolves had been more potent. They could have been punish for their profligacy. The Gunners already feel they have just the man for the job.
Arsenal opened their new Premier League season with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. With Havertz and Bukayo Saka taking turns scoring and assisting each other.
